În societatea contemporana, educatia a devenit un concept extrem de sofisticat, iar formele educatiei (formala, nonformala, informala) sunt într-o permanenta evolutie, într-un dinamism fara precedent. Pe de alta parte, noile concepte ale informatiei vehiculate frecvent astazi – societatea informatiei, societatea cunoasterii, cultura informatiei (information literacy), alfabetizare digitala (digital literacy) – si noile tehnologii ale informarii si comunicarii (NTIC) au determinat schimbari majore din perspectiva globalizarii informatiei si a progresului
stiintific si tehnic.
Education has become a highly complex concept in the contemporary society and the forms of education (formal, non-formal, informal) are constantly evolving, characterised by unprecedented dynamism. Moreover, the new concepts of information that are dealt with nowadays – the information society, the knowledge society,
information culture (information literacy), digital literacy – and the new information and communication technologies (NICT) have caused major changes in terms of the information globalization and of the academic
and technical progress.
